…that we may, out of our dead sins, make stepping stones to rise to the heights of perfection. What did he mean by that?
He meant that the memory of our falls may breed in us such a humility, such a distrust of self, such a constant clinging to Christ as we could never have had without the experience of our own weakness.”

Amy, I do not know you, and just stumbled upon your blog, but wow, what power in bringing forth the lies into the light. You indeed are gaining great power in your life. The best power, the power of God. You are brave to put your struggles out in the open for others to learn from and connect with. God is so good, I just cannot say it enough. I also love the part about what Augustine said, about letting our weaknesses become our stepping stones to God. Maybe thats how we go from Glory to Glory- truly letting God be made strong when we are weak. This will not be the last attack you endure, but from now on you will be stronger in them, and more able to count on God because of this one. So just like Paul said, rejoice in your struggle because you know that you are being made perfect through it. Even an attack such as this cannot keep you from your Lord. I will be praying for you.
